You can use the Test Mode to see how the emails you send from Upflow appear and configure and optimize your organization before going live.

Understanding test mode

After your data synchronization is complete, your organization will enter Test Mode , which is indicated by a banner at the top of your screen: In Test Mode, all outbound actions are disabled:
  • Manual actions — reminders, calls, letters, and all other actions on the Actions page cannot be performed.
  • Automatic actions — workflow, billing, and campaign actions cannot be sent automatically, and cannot be enabled until you go live.

Testing emails in Test Mode

While in Test Mode, you can still send test emails using the Send me a test email button available in workflow steps, templates and campaigns. This lets you preview how your emails look before going live. Note: As test emails are sent to your own inbox, any reply you send will not appear in the customer timeline.

Go Live

Once ready, you can leave Test Mode by clicking the Go live button in the banner.
  1. Click Go live in the Test Mode banner.
  2. Review the confirmation and click Confirm.
Going live enables manual actions immediately. Automatic actions remain off — you can enable them separately at any time. You’ll see a confirmation message. The Test Mode banner is replaced by a new banner prompting you to enable automatic actions. Note: While automatic actions are disabled, you cannot perform them manually. You can still ignore them.

Enable automatic actions after going live

After going live, automatic actions are disabled by default. To enable them:
  1. Click Enable automatic actions in the banner, or go to Settings → Collection and toggle on Enable automatic actions.
  2. Click Enable to confirm.
Note: once enabled, workflow, billing will be sent automatically. Campaigns can now be performed. You can disable automatic actions at any time from Settings → Collection.

Re-activate test mode

To re-activate the Test Mode, please submit a Support request. You can also disable Automated actions from your Settings > Collection.
