When sending email reminders to your customers, you have the possibility to include their Upflow portal link for a quick access and payment (read more about Collection Tags).

Portal link’s duration

When the portal link is generated—sent via an email reminder or copied from the app—its unique token has a default 25 days validity. If your customer tries to access their link more than 25 days after receiving it, they will see an error message indicating their portal link has expired.

Manually

From your Upflow Settings, in the Customer portal section, you can update the link validity:
  • Minimum: 1 day
  • Maximum: 1000 days
  • Default is 25 days
Don’t forget to click Save at the bottom of the page! ⚠️ The new link duration will be applied to links generated after the update is saved. Any links sent before this update will remain on a 25-day validity.

API

You can also manage the links duration using our API. Here’s more details on this configuration: How to Generate a Customer Portal URL via API. When using the “Carrying invoice link” collection tag in your email reminders… …the invoice link’s duration is the same as the portals’. Beyond this delay, the invoice link won’t be accessible anymore and a “404 error - File not found” message will be displayed instead. Any questions? Click the Submit a request button at the top.
