# Download your account statement

> Enable the Upflow account statement so customers can download a PDF of invoices, transactions and running balance for any date range from their portal.

Managing customer accounts effectively is crucial for a streamlined cash flow.

With Upflow’s Account Statement feature, you can provide your customers with a comprehensive view of their invoices and transactions, making account management easier for everyone involved. This article explains how the feature works and how to use it effectively.

## What is the account statement?

The Account Statement is a downloadable PDF document available to your customers through their Upflow customer portal. It provides a detailed list of invoices and transactions for a specific date range, along with the running balance for each transaction.

## Managing the account statement

The Account Statement is enabled by default and can be found in your Upflow Settings.

* Go to your [Settings, Customer portal section](https://app.upflow.io/organization/-/settings/customer-portal).
* Scroll down and locate the Account Statement.
* Use the toggle to enable or disable the feature as needed.

* This is an organization level feature. Once enabled, it applies to all your customers.

## Downloading an account statement

### Good to know

* **Language:** The account statement will be based on your customer’s **browser** language.
* **File size:** The file’s limit is 500 lines.
* **Currency:** One currency is displayed in the statement today. In case of multiple currencies, we will display your [organization default currency](https://app.upflow.io/organization/-/settings/company).

### Download the file

When the feature is enabled, your customers can download their Account Statements directly from their portal. Here’s how:

* From their customer portal, click "Download" at the top of their portal.

  * Click Account Statement
* Select the appropriate date range for the statement.

* Click Download to retrieve the Account Statement as a PDF file.
* Key Details on the Statement:

  * Includes only sent invoices; unsent invoices are excluded and not visible in the portal or the statement.
  * Displays transactions relevant to the selected date range.
  * Shows a balance for each transaction within scope.

#### For businesses with customer hierarchies:

* Parent Account Statements: Include all transactions from parents and child accounts.
* Child Account Statements: Display only the transactions specific to the child account. Parent transactions are not included.
