# Sending emails

> Compare the three ways to send Upflow email reminders, from the default Mailgun sender to a custom domain, subdomain or SMTP server, and pick the right option.

By default, all email actions are sent from [*reminder@upflow-mail.com*](mailto:reminder@upflow-mail.com) along with the name of the user performing the action.

To increase deliverability and your customers' trust, we encourage you to send emails from your own domain. Here are the 3 solutions that can be implemented:

| **Option** | **Advantages** | **Drawbacks** | **Note** |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------ |
| 1. [Configure your domain](/en-us/collection-and-collaboration/emails/sending-emails-configure-your-domain) | You keep the same email
Email tracking available | Mailgun can't be used for your domain elsewhere | Preferred solution |
| 2. [Configure a subdomain](/en-us/collection-and-collaboration/emails/sending-emails-configure-a-subdomain) | If you are already using Mailgun internally and want to keep tracking emails | Emails are sent from [mark@finance.facebook.com](mailto:mark@finance.facebook.com)
Requires a redirection from those addresses to your standard ones | |
| 3. [Connect to a custom SMTP server](/en-us/collection-and-collaboration/emails/connect-to-a-custom-smtp-server) | No need to update your DNS | No email tracking available | |

After you have completed the configuration, your customers will start receiving your reminders from the email address of the user performing the action.

If one of your members’ addresses isn’t registered on your domain, their reminders will be sent from [reminders@upflow-mail.io](mailto:reminders@upflow-mail.io). When you use a subdomain, we check that the user's address matches at least with the top domain.

If you have multiple organizations, you can set up the same domain across them.
